Pastor Jon and his wife Janell have been serving the Lord's local church in ministry since 2005 first as youth ministers in Oilton, OK. Jon was called to full time ministry as Pastor of Freedom Hill Baptist Church where he served for 10 years and has been here at FBC Apache since October of 2020. Jon's heart is to be the living hands and feet of Jesus to everyone he meets, He has 5 children and one grandson. Jon is a diehard OSU Cowboy fan and loves the Lord and His local Church with all his heart, mind, soul, and strength.
It is with great appreciation to God and His leading in my life that I now have begun my journey serving as the Youth/Music Minister at the First Baptist Apache Church. I look forward to seeing what God has in store for this ministry and the lives of our youth. Our youth group consists of kids in sixth grade through twelfth grade.
I would like to share a little about me. I graduated from Clinton High School and then obtained my Bachelors in Science from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. I have been married to my wife Chelsea since October of 2012. We have a son named Hunter who loves to hang out with our youth kids. We love the community of Apache and have felt very welcomed by each and every one of you.
Our youth meets each week on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM. During school months, a meal is served at 6:15 PM on Wednesday nights. Sunday services include Sunday school at 9:45 AM followed by church services at 10:45 AM. We also have Sunday Bible studies in the youth room at 6:00PM. We have a class for all ages, so parents are more than welcome to join on Wednesdays and Sundays!
I am normally in my office Monday-Thursday 9:00-4:30, and on Sundays all day. I can be reached by phone if you have any questions. Open communication is very important to me. With that being said, please be sure to go like our youth pages on Facebook and Instagram. If you have any comments or suggestions, please feel free to contact me. I look forward to getting to know you and your child. My prayer is to lead them to a Christ filled life and allow them to be open to where God leads them. I believe when we let God’s love work through us, we can then share that love with others.
